(SOLD OUT) Dean Street Creek 2019 Barossa Valley Shiraz

(SOLD OUT) Dean Street Creek 2019 Barossa Valley Shiraz

$60.00

On the palate, this wine is rich and velvety with flavours of wild blackberries and smoky biscuit dough. The tannins are broad, ripe and generous, yet the finish is fresh, lingering and leaves the impression of dark chocolate and rhubarb compote.

Will cellar well, but restraint is a mug’s game. Drink now.

Angus Hughson (WinePilot, 2019): 95pts - This wine is a bit of a step back in time, in a good way. You see lots of modern Barossa Shiraz which have this juicy upfront lusciousness that is addictive, and completely irresistible. But the Strawbridge is a bit more reserved, not tricked up, but simply offering an honest and pure expression of the Barossa.

Sam Kim (Wine Orbit, 2017): 95pts - Gorgeously ripe and inviting with dark plum, blackberry, vanillin oak and warm spice characters on the nose, the wine offers terrific fruit power and purity combined with seductive oak nuances and spicy notes. It’s richly weighted yet elegant with a persistent flavoursome finish. At its best: now to 2034

The Dean Street Creek Story

Vintage in the Barossa Valley is a special time of the year. The sound of the vintage tractor firing up at 4am, the smell of juice in the air, the warmth of the mid summer sun poking through the dawn clouds. It’s an unmistakable feast for the senses. Picking grapes or shovelling bins is a rite of passage for everyone growing up in the Barossa, and red juice stained hands are a badge of honour for those that brave the early morning starts.

Dean Street Creek pays homage to those throughout the Barossa Valley, who’s DNA is ingrained in the rich valley soils. The wines reflect the abundance of natural regional factors that the Barossa Valley is blessed with, as well as the hard work that goes into producing great wine.
