For the second consecutive winter, the Eden Valley missed out on the soaking rains typically expected during winter and spring, leaving soil profiles and water storages underfilled as drought conditions continued. The region experienced one of its earliest vintages on record, with many vineyards completing harvest before the end of March. The result was a low-yielding but high-quality vintage with high acid retention.
